In the early sixties Mr.James Campbell Douglas, a rich American, searched the Caribbean for the most beautiful place to settle down.

After a long search he found the perfect place CABIER BEACH near the village of Crochu on the island of Grenada.

To assure the pristine solitude of the location, a rock on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean , Mr.Douglas had to buy more than 55.000 acres of adjoining land. The property was about the size of 126 football fields.

He had to build his villa under very difficult conditions. There was no road, no water, no electricity to the building site. Once the villa was completed, Mr.Douglas lived there with his wife until 1997 and to this day it remains an exclusive place in untouched nature.
